Life breaks through. In this case, life is breaking through a pair of denim sneakers. The butterflies are carved out of the shoes. Twigs and leaves are secured within the base of the sculpture with epoxy. This was my first work awarded by a gallery. It won an honorable mention at D'art Gallery in Denver.
